New Balance brings the ‘Refined Future’ formula, or as it’s better known, the ‘Protection Pack’ look back to the beloved 1906. Realized with a knit mesh base, the upper is layered with hacked swatches of regal purple leather and crisp nubuck. An N-Lock system threads the logo on the laterals while locking down the tongue before we swing around to a glossy TPU cage that supports the heel. Underfoot, we find a full-length ABZORB midsole in eclipse purple while SBS Heel Inserts pop toward the heel. Lastly, a rubber outsole completes the look.
